El artículo en cuestión problematiza la más reciente oleada de exumaciones de líderes opositores con el propósito de rectificar la historia política de América Latina.  Es una batalla por la representación que tiene como contrapunto las tradiciones culturales, las intrigas políticas y los reclamos de justicia.  El giro crítico de este reportaje se evidencia en la siguiente cita:
